Sonny Shotz
In the summer of 2009, Sonny Shotz along with DJ Mendoza began their mission to bring good music to a larger spectrum and build a national buzz. After weeks of releasing singles in the Boston area, and performing at local venues around the city, they took their work to Paris, France. While in France they were able to meet up with a major recording company by the name of “Blaxound Studio” and recorded a few tracks to bring back to the U.S.
Upon their return to Boston, they were able to assemble a networking group of young musicians, artists, and very talented producer known as Mik Beats to form what is now known as “The Dean’s List”. Sonny always emphasizes the fact that he doesn’t just want to be another rapper who claims they are different yet every song sounds the same, but rather let the music speak for itself. The release of Sonny’s new EP entitled “Undeclared” will be the voice he uses to grab the attention of record labels across the nation. With production by DJ Mendoza, Mik Beats, and featured vocals by artist/producer Jordan Brown, it’s definitely something worth listening to. We will keep the world updated with all future projects to come!
